It works for me because I have dry hair.
I have very frizzy, fine, hair and a lot of it. Usually I use gel to define the curls but then the next day, when I comb my hair it gets frizzy again so I have to wet my hair but it never looks as good as the first day. Now, I work in the shine wax while my hair is damp from root to end and shape it into curls using just my fingers. Then let it dry naturally or lightly blow dry. My hair soaks it in and becomes soft and silky. The next day I can comb my hair and touch up with a little more wax or a curling iron. I love the way it looks and the way it feels. It works for me because I have dry hair.
